Cabin Log 2010

This year celebrates 100 years for the Beehive Cabin. Join us in celebrating our grandparents — who had the foresight as young people — to create a place like this cabin near the water and ocean. It has brought so much joy to so many people. It is nice to have a simple life like the cabin remind us of how little we need to be happy. It’s the people, the food and the traditions that we remember! It just feels good! Amen.

  • Kym Duncan shot photos in the gallery when she opened up the cabin for the first time in Spring 2010.
  • Kym and Chris Duncan repaired broken pipes near the water heater and by the front hose area. She said the back door was kicked to break the locks, but it didn’t look like anyone made it into the cabin. They had to replace the hardware on the door to lock it up again.
  • Chris Duncan caught a trout off the dock that was huge. 2 ½ feet long and more than 8 pounds. Uncle Ron would have been delighted at the sight of that one as would Grandma and Grandpa!
  • Kelsie Duncan and her friend caught 210 salamanders, and let them all go again. Now a days we know they are poisonous, but who would have eaten one anyway!

It was another great trip to the coast and the beach cabin.
